Celebrations are all around us, weddings, birthdays, life’s milestones and accomplishments. They are a chance for friends and family to come together, and I love making delicious food to be enjoyed when people gather to celebrate life.
We work with many vendors to assist you in bringing your event to life. Rental companies, florists, cocktail catering and decor specialists are all part of our community of event professionals dedicated to creating a memorable event experience for you and your guests.

Chef Owner of Michal Lagos Culinaria, catering, artisan foods, events, and all things delicious!
30 years ago, I opened Michal’s Cuisine, a shop that was the forerunner to many grab and go and catering businesses today. Over the years in my culinary career I have catered celebrity weddings, company picnics, charity fundraisers, movie premieres and every kind of celebration you can imagine. I have run the foodservice for a post production company and worked as a corporate chef for a major movie production company. I have been a consultant to a major food manufacturer designing soups and salad kids that are sold in Costco. Today, my favorite cooking adventures include teaching cooking to adults and children, sharing with them the magic that happens when ingredients are combined, something entirely new is created and that creation is shared with friends and loved ones.
How I feel about food.
I love food and cooking! Magic happens when ingredients are combined to create something brand new and delicious, and sharing it with those close to you is an expression of love and caring.
I take my inspiration from Jacques Pepin who says, “Don’t torture the food!” I love food that is prepared fresh, from quality seasonal ingredients with thought and care, presented beautifully and that is completely delicious. My style is rustic, but elegant, packed with flavor and influenced mostly by the cultures of the Mediterranean, Italian, Greek, Moroccan and French.
